Comelec to file poll case vs. Guo before Tarlac court next week

Manila: The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will file an election offense case for material misrepresentation against former Bamban mayor Alice Guo early next week. In an interview Wednesday, Comelec chair George Erwin Garcia said their law department has not received any answer from Guo regarding the complaint against her. “The Comelec will be filing the information in the RTC (regional trial court) in Tarlac. DPWH: 20 road sections impassable due to ‘Kristine’ effects

Manila: A total of 20 road sections across the country remain impassable due to flooding brought by Tropical Storm (TS) Kristine, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported Wednesday. The consolidated report by the DPWH Bureau of Maintenance (BOM) as of 6 a.m. said the figure includes 15 road sections in Bicol, four in Eastern Visayas and one in Calabarzon.
