Rains, possible flooding threaten areas under signal no. 2

Manila: People in areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 should take precautions against continuous rains brought by Tropical Storm Kristine that would likely result in floods and landslides, the weather bureau said Wednesday. NFA ready to release rice to ‘Kristine’-hit areas

Manila: The National Food Authority (NFA) on Wednesday assured its preparedness to release rice to affected local government units (LGUs) amid the onslaught of Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami). MANILA: The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) welcomed the dismissal of Metro Clark Waste Management Corp.’s (MCWMC) complaint against the BCDA and Clark Development Corp. (CDC) on the Kalangitan sanitary landfill. DUMAGUETE CITY – Residents and emergency responders rescued four fishers in Barangay Maloh, Siaton town in Negros Oriental after their motorboats capsized due to stormy weather on Tuesday.
