La Union provides food, non-food items to 1,398 evacuees

The provincial government of La Union has provided PHP210,000 worth of food packs and non-food items to evacuees affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami). As of 5 p.m. on Thursday, the relief supplies were distributed to 467 families, or 1,398 individuals, from the towns of Luna, Bangar, Balaoan, Rosario, Burgos, Aringay, and Caba, and San Fernando City who are staying in 29 evacuation centers. LTFRB grants special permits to 753 buses for Undas travelers

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has granted special permits to 753 buses as it ramps up its preparations for the expected volume of passengers traveling for the observance of Undas this year. LTFRB Chairperson Teofilo Guadiz III said the board has issued 272 special permits equivalent to 753 buses.
