Calabarzon: The Police Regional Office (PRO) 4A (CALABARZON) reported on Monday significant operational accomplishments in its intensified campaign against illegal drugs and loose firearms from Jan. 1 to 31.
According to Philippines News Agency, PRO-4A director Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas stated that the 996 anti-drug operations conducted during the period resulted in the arrest of 981 individuals across the region. Authorities seized 1,574.72 grams of shabu and 33.79 grams of marijuana, with a total street value of PHP6,011,091.
Ninety-six operations carried out against loose firearms led to the arrest of 80 individuals and the confiscation of 146 firearms, while 18 firearms were voluntarily surrendered to various police stations across the region.
Lucas mentioned, 'This is a strong start for 2026 and only the beginning of our intensified campaign against criminality and other illegal activities in the region.' He also commended the regional police personnel for their dedication, discipline, and professionalism, noting that these qualities reflect PRO 4A's commitment to justice, accountability, and community security.
He further highlighted the significance of continuous intelligence-led efforts and robust cooperation with the community and partner organizations.
