Pasig city: The Bureau of Customs (BOC) executed a search warrant at the Discaya family’s residence in Pasig City, targeting 12 luxury cars on Tuesday. The search led to the discovery of two of the luxury vehicles within the compound of St. Gerrard Construction in Barangay Bambang, where Sarah and Curlee Discaya reside.

According to Philippines News Agency, BOC Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno revealed that the cars found included a Maserati and a Toyota Land Cruiser, along with an Escalade, which was not listed in the search warrant. The search was aimed at verifying whether the correct taxes have been paid for these vehicles.

The search warrant specifically mentioned high-end models such as a Rolls-Royce Cullivan 2023, Mercedes-Benz AMG SUV 2022, and Lincoln Navigator L SUV 2021. The BOC has also informed the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) to monitor the remaining vehicles that were not located during the search.

Commissioner Nepomuceno expressed confidence in the BOC’s ability to track down the missing cars. He urged the Discaya family to voluntarily surrender the vehicles and provide documentation proving that the appropriate duties and taxes have been settled. The commissioner emphasized the importance of safeguarding government revenue and maintaining public trust.

The BOC is committed to taking decisive action, ensuring that all vehicles are accounted for, and collecting any outstanding taxes and duties. Commissioner Nepomuceno warned that anyone involved in concealing these vehicles would face strict legal consequences.
