Iloilo: WrkPod, an Australian firm headquartered in this capital city, is continuing its expansion across the Visayas with an ambitious goal to create 10,000 jobs for virtual assistants by 2028. The company is establishing new sites in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, and Iloilo as part of this initiative.
According to Philippines News Agency, Dale Beaumont, cofounder of WrkPod and CEO of Business Blueprint, shared in a recent interview that the firm currently operates three sites in Negros Oriental, including two in the capital and one in Tanjay City, as well as an additional site in Cebu. Beaumont stated, "We set a very ambitious goal and 10,000 (seats) is a huge number, but we are working towards it, and we have 1,350 virtual assistants as of now." He also noted the company is expanding its workforce with 70 to 80 new hires currently in progress.
Beaumont highlighted the challenge of finding enough space to accommodate the growing number of virtual assistants. WrkPod is focused on ensuring they have adequate facilities to support their expansion plans.
In line with its expansion efforts, WrkPod recently hosted a two-day conference for virtual assistants and clients from countries including Australia and New Zealand. The event featured a lecture series and provided a platform for business employers to engage with WrkPod's virtual assistants.
Additionally, WrkPod is organizing the WrkPod Pickleball Championship 2026 as part of its health and wellness program. The championship will take place on Friday and Saturday, featuring international players like Wally Green from New York and Harrison Brown from Australia. Local players will have the chance to compete against these international stars, and the event will include exhibition matches.
