Antique: The Antique Electric Cooperative (Anteco) has mobilized two teams, each consisting of four personnel, to assist in power restoration efforts in Negros Occidental.
According to Philippines News Agency, Anteco General Manager Neal Peter Ve±egas confirmed in an interview that the deployment took place on Thursday to support the Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative (NOCECO) and the Northern Negros Electric Cooperative (NONECO) Inc. Both cooperatives are engaged in ongoing efforts to restore power following the severe impact of Tropical Cyclones Tino and Uwan.
Ve±egas explained that Anteco’s power restoration in Antique province is complete, allowing them to extend assistance to other regions in need. This mutual support is a standard practice among electric cooperatives across the country.
The request for assistance from NOCECO and NONECO specifically targets the restoration of power for household consumers. NOCECO is responsible for powering the cities of Victorias, Manapla, Cadiz, Sagay, Escalante, and San Carlos, along with the towns of Toboso, E.B. Magalona, and Calatrava. Meanwhile, NONECO provides electricity to areas including Binalbagan, Calatrava, Candoni, Cauayan, Don Salvador Benedicto, Enrique B. Magalona, Hinigaran, Hinoba-an, Ilog, Isabela, La Castellana, Moises Padilla, Murcia, Pontevedra, Pulupandan, San Enrique, Toboso, and Valladolid.
