Manila: Eight ranking police officials got new assignments in the latest reorganization within the Philippine National Police (PNP). In an order dated Nov. 13, 2025, PNP acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. designated Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete as acting regional director of Police Regional Office-11 (PRO-11) based in Davao City, replacing Brig. Gen. Joseph Arguelles, who is transferred to the Personnel Holdings and Accounting Unit (PHAU) along with Col. Jonathan Abella of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Group (EOD/K9).
According to Philippines News Agency, police officers sent to PHAU usually do not have an assignment. Nartatez also designated Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta as PNP deputy director for information and communications technology management, replacing Brig. Gen. Wilson Asueta, who was named acting director of the PNP-Anti-Cybercrime Group, succeeding Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang who is set to retire this month.
Brig. Gen. Salvador Alacyang, meanwhile, will serve as acting director of the PNP-EOD/K9 Group; Brig. Gen. Elmer Ragay as acting director of the Police Drug Enforcement Group; Brig. Gen. Edwin Quilates as acting regional director of PRO-9 based in Zamboanga Peninsula; Col. Froilan Navarroza as officer-in-charge of Office of the Deputy Regional Director for Administration of PRO-8; and Col. Thor Punay as officer-in-charge of the Peace Process and Development Center under the Office of PNP Chief; and Col. Jonathan Abella of the PNP-EOD/K9 units was also placed under PHAU.
The reshuffle will take effect Friday.
