7 Million Americans Rally in ‘No Kings’ Protest Against Trump’s Policies

Washington: Around seven million Americans joined the ‘No Kings’ nationwide protest against President Donald Trump’s policies.

According to Philippines News Agency, this massive demonstration is described as one of the largest single-day protests in US history. Participants gathered in more than 2,700 cities and towns across the country, showcasing a widespread sentiment against the current administration’s policies.

Organizers described the event, named the ‘No Kings Day of Peaceful Action,’ as a stance ‘in nonviolent defiance of authoritarianism.’ The protest was intended to affirm that ‘this nation belongs to its people, not to kings,’ emphasizing a call for democratic values and citizen empowerment.

The turnout for this protest significantly surpassed a previous demonstration in June, which saw about five million people gathering across 2,100 locations. The June protest coincided with Trump’s birthday and a military parade in Washington, marking a significant moment of public dissent.

Organizers stated that Sunday’s protest marks a growing movement among Americans advocating for democracy, equality, and accountability in government, reflecting an increasing demand for change in the nation’s political landscape.
