No Work, No Pay Policy to Apply on October 31, Says DOLE

Manila: The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced that the “no work, no pay” policy will be in effect on October 31, which has been designated as a special non-working day. According to Philippines News Agency, the labor advisory issued by DOLE specifies that workers who choose not to work on October 31 will not receive their salary for that day, unless their company has a favorable policy, practice, or a collective bargaining agreement that provides payment on a special day.
