Six Transport Personnel Test Positive for Drug Use During Oplan Harabas in Western Visayas

Iloilo: Six out of the 1,013 transport personnel tested positive for illegal drugs during the conduct of “Oplan Harabas” in Western Visayas. According to Philippines News Agency, the activity was led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and tested 876 drivers, 135 conductors, and two dispatchers from various terminals in Iloilo, Aklan, Antique, and Capiz. Manila: The Eastern Visayas Medical Center (EVMC) has logged PHP2.52 million in total water savings, representing a 47.3-percent reduction in expenses in the past two years, following improvement of its water system. The average cost per cubic meter dropped from PHP76.35 in 2023 to PHP42.92 in 2025, or a 43.8-percent decrease, resulting in savings of about PHP33.43 per cubic meter or equivalent to PHP2.2 million annually based on typical consumption levels, according to EVMC. Manila: The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has released a list of 27 contractors with connections to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) who have made election campaign donations.
