President Marcos Highlights Role of New Tech in Disaster Forecasting
Manila: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. emphasized the critical role that new technologies play in early disaster forecasting during his fourth State of the Nation Address. According to Philippines News Agency, President Marcos highlighted the use of advanced technologies such as doppler radar, broadband seismic stations, and landslide sensor systems by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) and the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
