2 missing in ‘Kristine’-triggered flashflood in Negros Oriental

DUMAGUETE CITY – One person was rescued while two others remain missing in separate drowning incidents in Mabinay and Pamplona towns in Negros Oriental at the height of Tropical Storm Kristine’s onslaught. Coast Guard lifts travel suspension in Surigao Norte, Dinagat

SURIGAO CITY – The Coast Guard Stations in the provinces of Surigao del Norte and Dinagat Islands lifted the temporary sea travel suspension Thursday, following improved weather conditions. The suspension imposed on Tuesday affected Siargao, Bucas Grande, and nearby areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 due to Tropical Storm Kristine. PAGASA lifted the storm signals in these areas on Thursday morning. ‘With the improvement of weather and sea conditions, this station hereby lifts the temporary suspension of voyages,’ the Coast Guard advisory said.
