MIAA abolishes 844 plantilla posts amid NAIA privatization

MANILA: The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), former operator of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), on Tuesday abolished 844 plantilla positions following the airport’s privatization. Most of these were the positions of those who joined the new management, the New NAIA Infrastructure Corp. (NNIC), which took over operations on Sept. 14. BIR-Ilocos exceeds end-Sept collection goal by 4.5%

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) 1 (Ilocos Region) collected about PHP17.41 billion in the first nine months of the year, 4.5 percent higher than its PHP16.9 billion goal for the period.
