DAVAO CITY: Authorities in the Davao Region seized nearly PHP1 million worth of illegal drugs in 24-hour operations, the Police Regional Office (PRO-11) reported Wednesday. BUTUAN CITY: The Department of Tourism in the Caraga Region (DOT-13) welcomes the inclusion of General Luna town in Siargao Island as one of the six major tourist destinations in the country to receive a tourist first aid facility. ‘A memorandum of agreement for establishing these facilities was signed between the DOT and the DOH on Monday. MANILA: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United States extended fresh humanitarian aid to the Philippines in response to the recent onslaught of super typhoon Carina and an intensified southwest monsoon (habagat). The UAE government turned over its donations in a ceremony at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 on July 30.
