Oil tanker hijacked in Quezon, 1 nabbed

A fuel tanker carrying PHP1.5 million worth of bunker fuel was hijacked in Quezon Province early Wednesday while authorities captured one of the three suspects in the incident.   Quezon police provincial director Col. Joel Villanueva on Thursday identified the suspect as Vincent Reyes, 31. MRT-3 ‘Libreng Sakay’ ridership on track to reach 10M in June

PIA rectifying P206-M audit discrepancy: PCOO exec

State-run Philippine Information Agency (PIA) is currently rectifying its audit discrepancy through the recommendation of the Commission on Audit (COA), an official of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) said Thursday.   PCOO Undersecretary and acting deputy presidential spokesperson Michel Kristian “Kris” Ablan made this assurance after the COA flagged the PIA over a PHP206.3 million discrepancy in the value of its property plant and equipment (PPE).   Ablan said the PIA has already responded to the COA, noting that the agency failed to reconcile the list of its PPE to the actual inventory.   “Mayroon po kasi tayong discrepancy

DOH to build P10-M health center in Naga City

The Department of Health (DOH) will build a health center in Barangay Concepcion Pequeña here that will allow the government agency’s Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP) to work in the city.   Called the Naga City Super Health Center (NCSHC), the project, once operational, will provide basic health needs including specialized health services at the local level.
