Makati bettor bags P49.5-M Lotto jackpot

A bettor who bought his ticket in Makati City bagged the PHP49.5-million jackpot prize in Sunday night’s Ultra Lotto 6/58 draw. Eastern Visayas has started preparing the 2023 budget proposal utilizing the Regional Development Council (RDC) review drive, a cloud-based repository of budget proposals from the different agencies. Power back in 110 of 500 Southern Leyte villages

Electricity has been restored in 110 out of 500 villages in Southern Leyte after more than a month of power outage caused by Typhoon Odette. The Southern Leyte Electric Cooperative (Soleco) reported on Sunday that as of January 28, at least 36,016 houses and establishments have been energized out of the 105,787 affected power consumers. “As of this posting, 21.87 percent of villages are already partially energized within the coverage area of Soleco. Oil prices up for 5 straight weeks

Consumers are facing higher prices of petroleum products as February kicks off. In separate advisories, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum, PTT Philippines, Seaoil, Shell, and Unioil will increase both diesel and gasoline prices by PHP0.75 per liter starting Tuesday morning. Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell will also hike kerosene prices by PHP0.45 per liter. DOLE-6 to aid more pandemic-hit workers under CAMP 3

The Department of Labor and Employment in Western Visayas (DOLE-6) announced on Monday the availability of cash aid for another batch of workers displaced by the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) crisis. Under the Covid-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP 3), the agency provides a one-time financial assistance of PHP5,000 to affected workers and individuals in the private sector where Alert Level 3 was declared starting January 2022. “DOLE-6 accepts applications (from) workers whose employment were affected due to temporary and permanent closure of employers’ establishment or the implementation of retrenchment as mitigating measures,” it said in an advisory posted on Facebook.
