12,000 Personnel Mobilized for Undas Security in Central Luzon

Central luzon: The Police Regional Office in Central Luzon (PRO-3) is set to deploy more than 12,000 law enforcement personnel and volunteers to ensure the peaceful observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days, known as Undas, on November 1 and 2. This deployment is part of a nationwide security initiative named ‘Ligtas Undas 2025.’

According to Philippines News Agency, PRO-3 director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Pe±ones Jr. announced that approximately 3,000 police officers will be stationed at cemeteries, memorial parks, churches, transport terminals, and tourist spots from October 29 to November 5. The operation will also include over 1,000 personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Philippine Coast Guard, alongside around 7,600 force multipliers, such as village watchmen, civic groups, and non-government volunteers.

Police will enhance visibility and provide assistance in 664 cemeteries, 139 motorist centers, 611 police desks, major tourist spots, and transportation hubs across the region. This proactive deployment aims to secure public areas for a safe and orderly Undas 2025. Pe±ones emphasized the ongoing commitment to public safety during one of the busiest times of the year.

Pe±ones also expressed gratitude to partner agencies and community volunteers for their cooperation and dedication to public service. He highlighted that their active participation embodies the spirit of ‘bayanihan’ and shared responsibility in maintaining peace and security.
