Manila: Minimum wage earners in the Ilocos Region (Region 1) and Western Visayas (Region 6) will see their wages increase this month, following the issuance of wage orders by their respective Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPBs).

According to Philippines News Agency, the RTWPB-1 announced via Wage Order No. R1-24 that the wage adjustment for minimum daily wage earners will range from PHP37 to PHP45. Meanwhile, the RTWPB-6 approved a wage increase ranging from PHP37 to PHP40.

In the Ilocos region, workers in non-agricultural companies with 10 or more employees will receive a daily wage of PHP505, up from the previous PHP460. Those in agriculture and non-agricultural firms with fewer than 10 employees will see their daily wage increase to PHP480 from PHP435. Domestic workers, or “kasambahay,” in the region will receive an additional PHP700 per month, bringing their monthly wage to PHP6,700 from PHP6,000. This adjustment applies to domestic workers across all cities and municipalities, regardless of income class, as outlined in WO RB1-DW-06.

In Western Visayas, the RTWPB-6 approved the wage increase through WO No. RBVI-29. Non-agriculture, industrial, and commercial companies employing more than 10 workers will now pay workers PHP550, up from PHP513. Companies with 10 or fewer workers will increase wages to PHP525 from the previous rate. Agricultural workers in the region will receive PHP520, an increase from PHP480. The minimum wage for kasambahay will be PHP6,500 per month, following a PHP500 adjustment approved by the Wage Board through RBVI-DW-07.

The wage hike affects the provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental, including the highly urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod. The increases are expected to benefit an estimated 389,505 minimum wage earners and 259,819 domestic workers. The wage orders will take effect on November 19, 2025.
