Manila: US tech giants, including Microsoft, Meta, and Alphabet, have reported their revenues for the July-September period, with increases across the board for the corporations.
According to Philippines News Agency, Microsoft’s revenue rose 18 percent, year on year, to USD77.7 billion in July-September. Its net profit increased 12 percent over the same period to USD22.7 billion, and its earnings per share climbed from USD3.3 to USD3.72.
Meta, the owner of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, saw its revenue surge 26 percent on an annual basis to USD51.2 billion in the third quarter. However, its net profit declined 83 percent to USD2.7 billion, and its earnings per share fell from USD6.03 in the same period last year to USD1.05. The company anticipates revenue between USD56 billion to USD59 billion in the next quarter.
Alphabet, the parent holding company of Google, experienced a 16 percent year-on-year increase in revenue to USD102.3 billion in the third quarter. Its net profit posted a 33 percent increase over the same period to USD35 billion, and its earnings per share rose from USD2.12 to USD2.87.
