Manila: Two fortunate bettors from Davao del Sur and the National Capital Region (NCR) are set to share the PHP33.3-million jackpot from Wednesday night's Megalotto 6/45 draw.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Thursday that the winning tickets were purchased in Davao del Sur and Manila. The winners successfully matched the winning combination of 28-12-02-15-23-13.
The winners are given a period of one year to claim their PHP33,350,760.40 prize at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City. As per the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20-percent tax deduction.
Additionally, 92 other bettors received PHP32,000 each for guessing five out of the six winning digits. Furthermore, 2,688 participants will get PHP1,000 each for four correct digits, while 39,960 individuals will settle for PHP30 each for three correct digits. The 6/45 Megalotto is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles urged the public to continue supporting the agency's gaming products. He highlighted that the revenues generated are crucial for funding health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities. The PCSO contributes mandatorily to help individuals requiring medical assistance and to provide funds for government institutions.
