Washington: US President Donald Trump revealed in an interview with Politico that he anticipates speaking with Russian President Vladimir Putin soon, expressing optimism about the forthcoming discussion.
According to Philippines News Agency, Trump also mentioned plans to meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky this weekend. Trump expressed a positive outlook on both engagements, stating, "I think it's going to go good with him (Zelensky). I think it's going to go good with [Vladimir] Putin," emphasizing his eagerness to converse with the Russian leader "soon, as much as I want."
Earlier, Zelensky indicated his intent to discuss critical issues such as territorial matters, the potential withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbass, and the use of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant during his meeting with Trump in Florida on December 28.
