Tracker Teams Nab 4 Regional Most Wanted in Bicol

Bicol: Tracker teams and intelligence units in Bicol arrested four of the region's most wanted persons among 93 wanted individuals captured during weeklong operations from June 1 to 7, the Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) reported Tuesday.

According to Philippines News Agency, PRO-5 spokesperson Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib stated that the arrests included 10 provincial most wanted, 10 municipal most wanted, and 69 other wanted individuals with pending warrants. "The successful operation was conducted through joint intelligence-driven operations, thorough verification of targets, and intensified manhunt operations targeting individuals with criminal cases and continuing to evade the law," she said in a statement.

Calubaquib added that most arrest warrants were served at the residences of the accused, while others were arrested in hiding places after surveillance and discreet monitoring. In some cases, follow-up operations were conducted after confirming the exact location of targets.

PRO-5 emphasized that strict adherence to due process and respect for human rights remains in all operations. Calubaquib encouraged the public to continue cooperating by providing information to help arrest wanted persons, as part of PRO-5's goal of maintaining peace and order in the region.
