Taguig city: Taguig City police arrested all its 10 most wanted persons in January.
According to Philippines News Agency, the arrests involved the service of warrants for statutory rape, other crimes against persons, and violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act 9165), including illegal possession of dangerous drugs, in the city and nearby areas.
Taguig City chief of police Col. Julius A±onuevo attributed the feat to sustained and intelligence-driven operations carried out with the National Capital Region Police Office and other law enforcement agencies. "These January results show what consistent, intelligence-driven policing can achieve. Our personnel remain focused on enforcing the law fairly and protecting our communities, in coordination with our partner units and with the support of the public," he said in a statement. A±onuevo said proactive operations and strengthened partnerships with communities would continue.
