Survey Names MCIA Among ‘Best Airport in Asia Pacific’

Taytay: The Mactan-Cebu International Airport has been named among the 'best airport in Asia Pacific' in the 5-15 million passengers category of the 2025 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Customer Experience Awards, airport operator Aboitiz InfraCapital announced Thursday. 'This ASQ Customer Experience Award is especially meaningful because it reflects the genuine voice of our passengers - the very people we serve every day,' Aboitiz InfraCapital Cebu Airport Corporation chief executive officer Athanasios Titonis said in a statement.

According to Philippines News Agency, the awarding ceremony is scheduled during the ACI World Airport Experience Summit in Istanbul, Trkiye, from Aug. 31 to Sept. 4. ASQ is a global benchmarking program that measures passenger satisfaction in real time while travelers are at the airport. Nearly 707,000 passengers were surveyed worldwide for the 2025 ASQ Customer Experience Award organized by the Airports Council International World.

"This recognition from our passengers affirms the dedication of our entire airport community in delivering Cebuano warmth and world-class hospitality," Titonis said. 'This ASQ Customer Experience Award from ACI demonstrates the trust travellers place in Mactan-Cebu International Airport and reinforces its position as a top airport in the region for customer experience excellence,' ACI World Director General Justin Erbacci was quoted as saying in a news release.

MCIAA General Manager Julius Neri Jr., on the other hand, expressed commitment to making MCIA the ultimate gateway to the Philippines. "By continuously elevating our operational standards and setting new benchmarks for efficiency, we are proving our readiness to handle the growing demand for Cebu as a global destination," he said.
