Manila: House Speaker Faustino Dy III on Friday called on Filipinos to ensure that freedom serves as a foundation for shared progress and nation-building. In his message for the 128th anniversary of Philippine Independence, Dy emphasized that freedom must create opportunities and improve lives.
According to Philippines News Agency, Dy expressed that true freedom is not only about liberation from colonization but also about the ability to help each other in building a more prosperous, just, and stable nation. He highlighted that independence becomes more meaningful when it expands opportunities for families, enabling every Filipino to access decent jobs, quality education, and a better future.
