Manila: A bettor from Rizal province: bagged the PHP49.1 million jackpot in Tuesday’s Lotto 6/42 draw.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Wednesday that the winner from Sumulong Highway, Antipolo City, Rizal correctly guessed the winning combination of 35-37-14-01-43-12. The winner has one year to claim the PHP49,195,100.40 prize at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City, with the prize being subject to a 20 percent tax.
The PCSO highlighted that under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, lotto winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are taxed at 20 percent. Meanwhile, 31 other participants will receive PHP24,000 each for guessing five out of the six winning digits. Additionally, 2,549 bettors will get PHP800 each for four correct digits, and 34,787 will receive PHP20 each for three correct digits.
The 6/42 Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles urged the public to support the agency’s gaming products, which contribute to raising additional revenues for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities. The PCSO’s mandatory contributions aid individuals in need of medical assistance and provide funds to government institutions.
