Public Schools in San Remigio, Antique Ready for New Academic Year

San remigio: The 21 public schools under District 1 in the Municipality of San Remigio are ready to welcome learners as classes open on Monday. The district encompasses two secondary schools and 19 elementary schools, including two integrated schools.

According to Philippines News Agency, District 1 Supervisor Dr. Demar Cahilig stated on Friday that they anticipate a similar number of enrollees as last school year, with 1,944 elementary and 1,004 secondary learners. Dr. Cahilig credited their preparedness to "Brigada Eskwela," the annual school maintenance initiative held a week before the commencement of classes.

This academic year marks a significant development for the San Remigio Integrated School in Barangay Baladjay and the Aningalan Integrated Farm School in Barangay Aningalan, as both institutions will begin offering senior high school (SHS) programs. Students at San Remigio Integrated School now have the opportunity to continue to SHS without needing to travel to the town proper.

Furthermore, those attending Aningalan Integrated Farm School in the upland Barangay Baladjay will no longer have to transfer to Gov. Evelio B. Javier Memorial National High School in an adjacent village for their SHS education.
