PRO-6 Honors Top Police Officers and Units in Western Visayas

Iloilo city: The Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO-6) recognized 23 top performing police officers, units, and stakeholders in a ceremony on Monday. Of the 23 regional awardees, seven advanced to the national finals, with the Iloilo City Police Office being named Best City Police Office during the National PNP Day at Camp Crame on January 29.

According to Philippines News Agency, PRO-6 Director Josefino Ligan praised the awardees for epitomizing the values of excellence, courage, and integrity within the PNP. He expressed that their achievements inspire others to aim higher and serve better. Ligan led the recognition ceremony alongside Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Director for Western Visayas, Juan Jovian Ingeniero.

Individual awardees included Capiz Police Provincial Office Director Col. Albert Tapulao as Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) for Administration, Iloilo PPO Director Col. Bayani Razalan as Best Senior PCO for Operations, Lt. Col. Efren Yu-ing as Best Junior PCO for Administration, and Major Dadje Delima as Best Junior PCO for Operations. Other honorees were Executive Master Sergeant Donna Asmod, Master Sgt. Jade Jorillo, Staff Sgt. Erwin Magarzo, Corporal Van Anvie Mendez, Mary Jane Quimque, and Ma. Gindy Algarne.

The event also recognized the Iloilo PPO as the Best Police Provincial Office, Iloilo City PO as Best City Police Office, Roxas City Police Station as Best Component City Police Station, and the Municipal Police Stations of Malay, San Jose, and Dumalag as Best Stations for Class A, B, and C, respectively. The Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6, the 1st Capiz Mobile Force Company, and the Iloilo City Mobile Force were acknowledged in their respective categories.

In the national finals, Razalan ranked fifth, Algarne placed fourth, and Delima, Asmod, Jorillo, and Mendez all secured second in their categories. Razalan expressed gratitude for the support from the community, attributing the success in operations against illegal drugs and criminal activities to their cooperation.

Ingeniero emphasized that the awardees' performance directly impacts community trust and security. He reaffirmed the partnership between DILG and PNP as essential for ensuring peaceful and secure communities.
