Daet: Police in Bicol arrested a high-value drug target and seized PHP2.1 million worth of shabu in Daet, Camarines Norte. The arrest took place during a buy-bust operation.
According to Philippines News Agency, the suspect, identified only as "Mark," was apprehended with 310 grams of suspected shabu. Police Regional Office-Bicol (PRO-5) spokesperson Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib confirmed the details in a statement. The suspect and the confiscated evidence are currently held at the Daet police station as authorities prepare to file charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
In a related development, PRO-5 reported the arrest of 106 wanted individuals across the region's six provinces between January 12 and 18. This was achieved under the Enhanced Managing Police Operations strategy. Among those apprehended were one regional-level target, eight provincial-level targets, two city-level targets, and 23 municipal-level targets, in addition to 72 other individuals.
