Manila: The government's anti-drug reporting platform, 'Isumbong Mo sa PDEA,' posted an 86-percent operational success rate, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported on Tuesday. From July 1, 2022, to April 30, 2026, data from the monitoring and reporting system showed that PDEA received 3,681 anti-drug information reports from concerned citizens.
According to Philippines News Agency, of these reports, 780 were validated through proper verification and intelligence assessment procedures. Among the validated reports, 672 resulted in successful negation operations, translating to an 86-percent operational success rate. PDEA said the figures reflect the agency's strengthened focus on intelligence validation, inter-agency coordination, and prompt operational response.
The agency also said that while public participation remains vital in supporting law enforcement efforts, not all reports yielded positive results after validation and assessment. 'Despite these challenges, our operatives ensure that every report is treated seriously and undergoes thorough evaluation to guarantee lawful, accurate, and intelligence-driven operations,' PDEA Director General Undersecretary Isagani Nerez said in a statement.
Nerez said that while the public is encouraged to continue sharing information, they are reminded to provide accurate and verifiable details. 'Reliable information greatly improves our ability to conduct timely and effective operations,' he said. The agency encouraged the public to continue supporting anti-drug initiatives by responsibly reporting suspicious activities through the 'Isumbong Mo sa PDEA' hotline numbers: 0995-354-7020 and 0932-027-8212.
