Zamboanga sibugay: Anti-narcotics agents arrested a high-value drug suspect and confiscated PHP6.8 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Zamboanga Sibugay on Sunday.

According to Philippines News Agency, Bryan Babang of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Zamboanga Peninsula (Region 9) identified the suspect as alias ‘Boy Blue,’ 46, a resident of Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur. Babang said the suspect was arrested around 4:30 p.m. in Barangay Don Andres, Ipil town. Seized from him were one kilogram of suspected shabu packed in 10 heat-sealed plastic sachets, buy-bust money and other non-drug evidence.

He further mentioned that the suspect will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The operation was led by the PDEA Zamboanga Sibugay provincial office with support from police units.
