PCSO Pushes for Responsible Gaming in Pangasinan

Pangasinan: The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Pangasinan branch reiterates its commitment to promoting responsible gaming.

According to Philippines News Agency, PCSO emphasizes responsible gaming through safety standards, a 'Play Smart, Play Safe!' slogan, protection of minors, and prioritization of player well-being, as evidenced by Level 2 World Lottery Association certification and initiatives. Responsible gaming is the practice of promoting safe and controlled participation in gaming activities to minimize the risk of addiction and financial harm.

'We encourage players to budget, know the odds, avoid chasing losses, and see gaming as entertainment. We have policies for game design, agent training, and strict age verification for those 18 and older," said PCSO Pangasinan branch manager Christopher Pacalso in a Friday interview here. He noted that PCSO disseminates information on responsible gaming through various platforms, including leaflet distribution.

Agents are advised to strictly enforce age restrictions, ensuring only those 18 or older participate in lottery games and preventing underage individuals from playing. Pacalso also emphasized educating players about winning probabilities and the nature of PCSO lottery games, highlighting that playing should be fun and support charitable causes.
