Pasay city: The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) retained its International Standardization Organization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification following an audit conducted in December. PAGCOR chair and chief executive officer Alejandro Tengco attributed this achievement to the employees who consistently commit to improving the agency's systems.
According to Philippines News Agency, Tengco received the certification from DQS Certification Phils. Inc. at the PAGCOR Corporate Office in Pasay City on April 16. Tengco emphasized that securing the ISO 9001:2015 recertification for the fourth consecutive time reflects PAGCOR's dedication to excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across all operations. Tengco also acknowledged the efforts of teams in the Corporate Office and across all branches, stating that the achievement is for all of them.
The surveillance audit, which took place from December 15 to 18, 2025, covered 17 existing sites including the corporate office and Casino Filipino branches in Tagaytay, Angeles, Citystate, Cebu, Ilocos Norte, Bacolod, Olongapo, Grand Regal, Malabon Grand, Binondo, Greenery, Manila Grand Opera, Kartini, Networld, Tropicana (Las Pi±as), and Oriental Pearl. The audit commended PAGCOR for its leadership and strategic direction, governance and regulatory compliance, and digitalization efforts to improve process efficiency.
DQS also acknowledged the agency's operational resilience, safety culture, quality customer service and gaming innovations, commitment to sustainability and responsible practices, and training and competency development programs for employees. The ISO 9001:2015 certification will remain valid until March 22, 2029, subject to completion of annual surveillance audits.
