P584-M Worth of Illegal Drugs Seized, 112 Arrested in Week-Long Anti-Drug Campaign

Manila: The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) announced on Tuesday the seizure of PHP584.28 million worth of illegal drugs and the arrest of 112 individuals during its intensive anti-drug campaign from October 24 to 31, 2025.

According to Philippines News Agency, PDEA Director General Isagani Nerez stated that their agents successfully carried out 81 anti-illegal drug operations. These operations led to the arrest of 112 individuals and the confiscation of significant quantities of illegal substances, including 84,099.63 grams of shabu, 1,899 milliliters of liquid cocaine, and marijuana plants and derivatives equivalent to 58,350 plants, 18,100 seedlings, and 92.30 grams of dried leaves.

The operations were widespread and included the interdiction of 1,899 milliliters of liquid cocaine and seizure of 6,250 grams of shabu in Pasay City, the eradication of 22,300 marijuana plants and 4,600 seedlings in Sugpon, Ilocos Sur, and a buy-bust in Cebu City resulting in the seizure of 1,175 grams of shabu. Additionally, 46,550 marijuana plants were eradicated in Benguet province, 75,500 grams of shabu were confiscated in Para±aque City, and a buy-bust operation in Quezon City led to the confiscation of 500 grams of shabu.

The arrested suspects comprised 68 pushers, 24 drug den visitors or clients, 10 drug den owners or maintainers, four drug den employees, four possessors, and two couriers. Each will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

In a separate joint retrieval operation with the Philippine National Police (PNP) on November 3, PDEA confiscated suspected cocaine weighing approximately 24,003.7 grams in Palawan, with an estimated street value of PHP127,219,610. The recovered drugs are being processed for examination before being forwarded to the PDEA Palawan Office.

Authorities are actively investigating the possible source and intended destination of the contraband to disrupt transnational drug syndicates. “We are strengthening partnerships with PDEA and other agencies to ensure that illegal drugs have no place in Philippine communities,” stated Lt. Gen. Edgar Alan Okubo, Deputy Chief for Operations of the PNP and Officer-in-Charge.
