Manila: The Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency conducted a successful operation, resulting in the arrest of three high-value drug personalities and the seizure of PHP48 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust in Zamboanga City.
According to Philippines News Agency, the operation took place in Zone 5, Brgy. Divisoria, Zamboanga City, where authorities confiscated approximately 7,000 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP47.6 million. The illegal drugs, along with buy-bust money and other non-drug items, were recovered at the scene of the transaction.
The individuals apprehended during the operation are currently under the custody of Police Station 4 of Zamboanga City Police Office. They are undergoing proper documentation and will face charges accordingly. PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. emphasized the commitment to intensify operations against those involved in the illegal drug trade, stating that they will face the full force of the law.
