Southern metro manila: The Southern Police District (SPD) successfully seized PHP4.7 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 101 suspects during 74 operations conducted from December 1 to December 7.
According to Philippines News Agency, SPD chief Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo reported that operatives confiscated 673.23 grams of shabu, 364.80 grams of marijuana, 47.78 grams of kush, 47.78 grams of ecstasy, and 17 vape devices containing marijuana or cannabis oil. The total estimated value of the seized items was PHP4,743,032. Among those arrested, 10 individuals were identified as high-value individuals (HVIs), while 91 were street-level individuals (SLIs).
Arceo emphasized that these achievements underscore the dedication of SPD personnel in combating the spread of illegal drugs and ensuring community safety. Furthermore, Arceo announced the arrest of 65 wanted individuals across various police stations during the same period.
The operations focusing on high-profile fugitives led to the capture of 17 top most wanted persons, 13 most wanted persons, and 35 other wanted individuals. Arceo highlighted that these results are a testament to the continuous efforts, collaboration, and professionalism of their personnel in the field. Each successful arrest demonstrates the commitment of SPD officers to apprehend fugitives and uphold the law, contributing to the safety of the communities they serve.
The jurisdiction of the SPD includes the cities of Makati, Pasay, Taguig, Para±aque, Las Pi±as, and Muntinlupa, as well as the municipality of Pateros.
