Manila: The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), in coordination with other law enforcement agencies, seized illegal drugs worth PHP1.10 billion and arrested 4,426 drug suspects in July. PDEA conducted 3,572 anti-drug operations nationwide during the month, which led to the dismantling of 39 illegal drug facilities, according to a news release Friday.

According to Philippines News Agency, the operations resulted in the seizure of 201.89 kilograms of shabu, 0.34 kg of cocaine, 1,307 pieces of ecstasy, and 63.11 kg of dried marijuana leaves and bricks. Among those apprehended were high-value and target-listed suspects.

From July 2022 to June 30, 2026, authorities have seized a total of PHP122.53 billion worth of narcotics across the country. More than 206,000 persons were arrested, and a total of 30,186 villages were declared drug-cleared under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s administration.

PDEA Director General Isagani Nerez stated, 'Every seizure represents dangerous drugs that will no longer reach our communities, while every arrest disrupts the networks that keep the illegal drug trade alive. This is our commitment to a safer, more secure and drug-free Bagong Pilipinas (New Philippines).'
