Malinao: A PHP1.5-million farm machinery given to farmers in Malinao, Albay earlier this week is expected to lower operational costs and prevent delays in farming activities, according to the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) on Thursday.
According to Philippines News Agency, Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer Chito Molina announced that the brand-new 40HP 4WD tractor was given to the Tuliw-Pawa Irrigators Association (TPIA) on Tuesday. The equipment is set to benefit 50 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs), comprising 37 males and 13 females.
Molina stated that the initiative aims to strengthen, improve, and sustain agricultural productivity while introducing modern farming techniques to the beneficiary farmers. He emphasized the importance of proper management and maintenance of the equipment by the beneficiaries to ensure its longevity.
'We trust that you will take care of and use the tractor properly. DAR is only here to support you to make your farming easier,' he said in Filipino.
