Manila: Newly appointed National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Officer-in-Charge Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano assumed leadership on Sunday with a strict directive for increased visibility and immediate emergency response in Metro Manila. Abrahano said the NCRPO will enforce proactive anti-crime measures to deliver law enforcement services that are fast and felt by the public.

According to Philippines News Agency, Abrahano emphasized a commitment to ensuring every area is covered and every call is answered. During the change of command ceremony at the NCRPO headquarters at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City, he stated, "Our commitment is simple: Every beat covered, every call answered." Abrahano assured the people of Metro Manila that they can expect the police to be present, responsive, professional, and respectful, without needing influence or connections to receive proper police service.

Abrahano mentioned that under his leadership, the NCRPO will maintain this standard of service to Metro Manila residents, following the instructions from PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. Abrahano, a member of the PNP Academy Class of 1996 and former Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao chief, takes over from Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin, who has reached the mandatory retirement age of 56.
