Oroquieta city: A 2-megawatt emergency power supply agreement (EPSA) has been signed between Therma South Inc. (TSI), a subsidiary of Aboitiz Power Corporation, and the Misamis Occidental I Electric Cooperative Inc. (MOELCI-I) to help ensure stable electricity supply for consumers. The agreement aims to benefit power users in Oroquieta City and the municipalities of Aloran, Lopez Jaena, Plaridel, Calamba, Baliangao, Sapang Dalaga, and Concepcion in Misamis Occidental.
According to Philippines News Agency, MOELCI-I General Manager Guilvin Medina highlighted the long-standing partnership with Aboitiz Power Corporation, which has been built on reliability and mutual trust over the past decade. Medina stated that the EPSA is a reflection of this partnership, noting that TSI has been a consistent partner in maintaining electricity supply for their customers. He described the agreement as a historical milestone, being the first of its kind for the cooperative.
AboitizPower Head of Revenue Operations, James Yu, emphasized the strong relationship between AboitizPower and MOELCI-I. He expressed pride in being part of TSI's first-ever emergency power supply agreement, reiterating the company's commitment to support their partners, particularly during critical times when reliable power supply is essential.
