Negros occidental: Negros Occidental, known as the Philippines' sugar capital, has launched seven signature culture hub tours this week, inviting visitors to explore the 'heart of Negros.' The provincial government announced that these tours are not just typical journeys through landmarks but rather an immersion into the heart and soul of the province.
According to Philippines News Agency, the curated circuits offer a glance into the province's rich cultural diversity through economically priced, multi-stop guided tours for both solo travelers and specialized groups. The tours range from the 'Sugar Trail' to the scenic highlands of Don Salvador Benedicto, aiming to provide a cultural experience cultivated by passion.
Tour A, priced at PHP450, includes visits to the Provincial Capitol, Panaad Park, and additional sites in Bacolod City. Tour B, known as 'The Sugar Trail,' costs PHP500 and takes visitors through Bacolod and the nearby cities of Talisay and Silay. Tour C, also PHP500, offers a trip through Bacolod and the Mambukal Resort and Wildlife Sanctuary in Murcia town. Tour D, the 'Heritage Tour,' covers the Bacolod-Talisay-Silay route for the same price.
Tour E, priced at PHP600, provides a full-day adventure from Bacolod-North, exploring historic estates, eco-parks with bird-watching opportunities, and scenic mountain landscapes. Tour F, for PHP600, covers Bacolod-Central-South and includes visits to historic towns, sugar industry landmarks, heritage churches, and local food spots. Tour G, also priced at PHP600, offers a highland getaway from Bacolod to the cool mountain landscapes of Don Salvador Benedicto, often referred to as the 'Little Baguio of Negros.'
