Manila: San Sebastian College emerged victorious against Mapua with scores of 25-20, 25-21, 20-25, and 25-21 during the NCAA Season 101 women's volleyball tournament held at the San Andres Sports Complex. This win marked their third consecutive victory.
According to Philippines News Agency, Juna May Gonzales led the Lady Stags with 26 points, while Katherine Santos contributed 18 points, securing their position at 5-6, placing them third in Group A. Jercine Balajadia provided 24 excellent sets, and libero Chloi Florenci Lazarte recorded 20 digs and 15 receptions. On the opposing side, Alyana Nicole Ong and Raissa Janel Ricablanca each achieved 16 points for the Lady Cardinals, who now stand at 4-6.
In another match, Arellano ended their two-game losing streak by defeating Lyceum with scores of 30-28, 25-21, and 25-19. Samantha Gabrielle Tiratira was the top scorer for the Lady Chiefs with 17 points, improving their record to 4-6 in Group B. Catherine Domasig managed 23 excellent sets, while Harem Ceballos and Khey Aleck Pablo contributed 13 digs and 17 receptions, respectively, during the one-hour and 43-minute match. For the Lady Pirates, skipper Johna Denise Dolorito and Ashley Muchillas scored 17 and 12 points, respectively, with Sheila Pascual and Hilalhia Alberto adding seven and six points.
