Marcos Emphasizes Importance of Timely Justice in Government Services

Manila: Delivering justice on time remains among the most essential services the government can provide to Filipinos, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. stated as he led the oath-taking of newly elected prosecutors of the National Prosecution Service (NPS) in Malaca±ang on Wednesday.

According to Philippines News Agency, Marcos highlighted the administration's ongoing efforts to strengthen the country's prosecution system and expand access to justice across communities nationwide. He acknowledged the challenges many Filipinos encounter when seeking legal remedies, noting that justice often feels distant, slow, and out of reach for many.

To address these concerns, the President emphasized the government's commitment to reinforcing the NPS and deploying more prosecutors nationwide. "That is why we continue to strengthen the National Prosecution Service and bring more prosecutors into communities across the country," he said.

Marcos further articulated that an effective government is measured not just by its policies but by its ability to deliver services that have a direct impact on people's lives. "A government that works is one that delivers results people can feel. And justice delivered on time is one of the most important services government can provide," he added.

The NPS, under the Department of Justice, is responsible for conducting preliminary investigations and prosecuting criminal cases on behalf of the government, playing a crucial role in the justice system.
