Manila: Letran dominated the University of Perpetual Help, 25-18, 25-21, 25-14, to keep its immaculate record in the NCAA Season 101 women's volleyball tournament at the San Andres Gym in Manila on Tuesday. Marie Judiel Nitura delivered 16 points off 12 attacks, two blocks, and two aces, while Sheena Vanessa Sarie also scored 16 points, all from attacks, as the Lady Knights extended their winning run to five in Group B.
According to Philippines News Agency, Gia Marcel Maquilang contributed 13 points, including three aces; Lara Mae Silva had 16 digs; and Natalie Marie Esteller made 16 excellent sets. Despite the loss, Perpetual remained on top of Group A at 5-1.
In the other game, Jose Rizal University survived Emilio Aguinaldo College, 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 24-26, 15-8, to register its first win in six starts. Czarina Ramos led the Lady Bombers with 22 points. Nicole Deala chipped in 18 points, while Kyla Navarra produced 22 excellent sets. Alessandra Razonable scored 20 points for the Lady Generals, who stayed at the bottom of Group B with a 0-6 record.
