Lady Knights Roll to 12th Straight Win in NCAA Volleyball Tournament

Manila: Colegio de San Juan de Letran prevailed over Arellano University, 25-14, 24-26, 26-24, 20-25, 15-10, on Friday to stay perfect in the NCAA Season 101 women's volleyball tournament.

According to Philippines News Agency, Sheena Vanessa Sarie finished with 27 points, 16 digs, and 13 receptions as the Lady Knights extended their winning run to 12 in Group B. Nizelle Aeriyen Martin chipped in 19 points while Judiel Nitura scored 18 points, including two blocks and two aces.

Samantha Gabrielle Tiratira and Kheisha Alexa Abitria scored 16 and 15 points, respectively, for the Lady Chiefs, who remained in third place with a 5-7 card. Lyceum of the Philippines University holds a 3-9 slate followed by Emilio Aguinaldo College, which is yet to win a match at 0-11.

Meanwhile, University of Perpetual Help downed San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 25-17, 25-16, 25-19, to stay on top of Group A with a 10-2 card. Jemalyn Menor led the Lady Altas with 17 points off 15 attacks and two aces. Cyrille Joie Almeniana had 14 points, while Fianne Ariola made 25 excellent sets.

Juna May Gonzales scored 10 points for the Lady Stags, who remained in fourth place at 5-8.
