Herbosa Dismisses Rumors of Cabinet Replacement Plans

Manila: Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa on Wednesday dismissed reports that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is preparing to replace him, following earlier online reports claiming the Chief Executive is planning his 'most extensive Cabinet shakeup yet', affecting at least nine officials. "There's no truth to that," Herbosa told Palace reporters in a media briefing when asked about the report.

According to Philippines News Agency, Herbosa emphasized that Undersecretary Claire Castro had already clarified that there is no planned Cabinet revamp. Castro stated that they have not received any official information regarding a possible reshuffle, suggesting that the reports circulating online may simply be rumors.

Herbosa further assured that he will continue to serve and fulfill his mandates, particularly in implementing the zero-balance billing program and expanding Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Service (BUCAS) centers. "I think we will continue to pursue the mandate of the President with emphasis on better care for all Filipinos," he remarked.
