Pasay city: The PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) Commissioner's Cup title series between Barangay Ginebra and TNT is drawing television audience once more. Around 2.85 million viewers tuned in during Game 3 of the best-of-seven series on Sunday, posting a high 4.1 percent rating. The Kings won at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, 116-102, as Justin Brownlee exploded for 41 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.

According to Philippines News Agency, Stephen Holt finally had a breakout in the finals with 23 points on 5-of-8 shooting from three-point range, and Scottie Thompson completed a triple-double of 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. The game peaked at 9:46 p.m. entering the final stretch when approximately 3.46 million viewers were tuned in or about 4.9 percent.

The Sunday rating already surpassed the 3.6 percent rating reached during Game 6 of the Philippine Cup finals in February between San Miguel Beer and TNT. In 2025, the TNT-Barangay Ginebra Commissioner's Cup finals was the highest rating sports event of the year, netting 4.8 percent during the sudden-death Game 7 at Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. The Tropang 5G won in overtime, 87-84.

Incidentally, Game 3 also recorded the highest gate attendance for Season 50 as 18,607 showed up at the Pasay venue. The total was the most in a PBA game since the same Game 7 of the conference finals between the two teams last year, which attracted a live audience of 21,274. Ginebra will try to snatch a 3-1 lead on Wednesday at the Big Dome.
