EDSA-Magallanes Flyover Repairs to Commence on Friday Night

Manila: A portion of the EDSA-Magallanes flyover southbound lane will undergo more repairs starting Friday night, the Department of Public Works and Highways said.

According to Philippines News Agency, in a social media post, the DPWH-National Capital Region (NCR) announced that the repairs, beginning at 10 p.m., will affect the left lane of the flyover, which will be temporarily closed. The southbound lane's right side will stay open to traffic. The public is encouraged to adhere to traffic signs and on-site advisories to ensure smoother traffic flow during the repair works.

The repair works are expected to be completed by Monday at 5 a.m. These weekend repairs are part of the ongoing EDSA rehabilitation works conducted by the DPWH.

Meanwhile, DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon announced that construction of an additional lane along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Morera, Guinobatan, Albay, will commence soon. The project will begin once the right-of-way issues in the area are resolved by the local government unit. Secretary Dizon mentioned that Governor Noel Rosal has committed to addressing the right-of-way problem to expedite the construction process. Coordination between the Regional Director and the Governor has already been initiated.
