Easterlies and Northeast Monsoon to Influence Weather Across Philippines

Manila: The easterlies and the northeast monsoon, locally known as 'amihan', will continue to have a significant impact on the weather across the Philippines, as reported by the national weather bureau. According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) provided a 4 a.m. advisory indicating that the easterlies are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies, accompanied by isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, over regions including the Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan. In contrast, northern areas such as Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao will experience cloudy skies with light rain due to the influence of the northeast monsoon. The 'amihan' will also lead to partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains across Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. Furthermore, Northern Luzon will encounter rough seas and strong winds, while the rest of Luzon along with the eastern sections of the Visayas are anticipated to have m oderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas. The remaining areas of the archipelago will see light to moderate winds and slight to moderate sea conditions.
